The Cacophony Project aims to protect our native birds and bring back a healthy dawn chorus using smart technology and machine learning.
Their main product, the "Cacophonator", is an open-source Linux device that uploads thermal video to their servers in the cloud. With this device they have learnt a lot about predator behaviour. They are now in the process of building new and improved predator capturing systems.
On Tuesday 6 November we are fortunate to have Clare McLennan, Cacophony software developer, joining us via teleconference to tell us more about the project and technology.
